Botox: Play it Safe and use only Professionally Trained Surgeons

With the popularity of Botox and the apparent decrease of surgical cosmetics, not forgetting the increase in the number of men who are now opting for Botox treatment, it is only natural for Botox companies to incorporate new ways of staying ahead of their competitors.

One of the ways many private companies are doing this is through tiered training. As Botox’s popularity has increased, so has the calling for safer procedures and the removal of ‘backstreet surgeons’ causing lasting damage to their patients, such as dropping skin and Botox poisoning.

How are companies making things safer?

Many companies now run Botox courses to increase the competence of surgeons performing Botox injections. This training is usually tiered, providing surgeons varying levels depending on the time put into the training. The three main types of Botox training courses offered are foundation,

Intermediate and advanced. While courses are tiered it does not mean foundation surgeons are less competent than their advanced peers.

A foundation degree will generally train in a smaller number of areas concerning Botox injections, but will receive the same level of training in these areas. For example, simply smoothing out facial lines would be an area covered in a foundation course. A surgeon with a foundation level and a surgeon with an advanced level would both be able to safely perform this procedure.

Because of the horror stories that have been associated with Botox over the last decade or so, these courses have become very popular and successful. Even still, it is highly advisable that you do research in to both the formula and chemicals that make up Botox and the background of both your potential surgeon and the surgery the procedure will take place in prior to your treatment.
